ST. BRIGID OF KILDARE: A MUSICAL ODYSSEY

The premiere performance of St. Brigid of Kildare – a musical odyssey with Angelica Ottewill, harpist, singer, storyteller and Veronique Kwaakkernaat, flautist was held in Peteroborough, Ontario on April 28th, 2013.

St. Brigid was the first abbess of Ireland and lived at the time of St. Patrick. Today, she is still the most revered saint in Ireland, after the great St. Patrick himself. This inspiring story is interspersed with traditional Irish music and sacred songs. This is an original creative work commissioned and performed by Angelica.

Ms. Ottewill is a member of the Peterborough Storytellers society, has performed widely throughout Ontario and has become a familiar local performer. For more information, consult her web-page, www.trobairitz.ca

Congratulations Angelica from all your fellow tellers at Peterborough Storytellers!
